In 1993 due to pressure of work, the then TR8 Registrar Paul Towle, asked if I would take over the post on a temporary basis. Having been the Hampshire Area Secretary for the TRDC for some years I, with some trepidation, agreed.
My qualifications for the post were the conversion of a TR7 to V8 spec and the complete restoration of a factory built TR8 DHC.
I have not tried to emulate Paul's expertise on the historical and statistical side but have concentrated on the practical side of running a TR8. Statistical details have been reproduced with the kind permission of Paul Towle.
